HARROGATE 2014
Annual 5-a-side Disability Football Tournament
in conjunction with
Yorkshire & Humberside Special Olympics


 

Over 80 teams took part in our 2014 tournament, travelling from accross the country afar afield as London and Scotland to produced another magnificent day of football in swealtering conditions.

Harrogate striker Ross Chapman officially opened the event by reciting the Special Olympics Oath, with Rob Harris (referee) and Keith Wilcox (Special Olympycs Skelton & Cleveland) reciting the officials and coaches oath respectiveley.

Teams were graded into one of sixteen groups with Group One for the Premier League teams (Ability Counts banding) through to group fifteen for the lower levels. Group sixteen was reserved for the Junior section.

Mojo Raiders were one of eight clubs making their debut at the tournament and took the honours in Group One (7-a-side premier league) edging out Middleborough who finished in second place.

In the Junior section, joint hosts Killinghall Nomads topped the group to secure a GoldMmedal..
